I have been working hard in the background over the last couple of days on some new and exclusive poster templates for advertising upcoming puppy litters.

From now until the 31st of December I am offering a poster from one of the below examples for the low price of £20.

Supply me with name and suitable images of the dogs that have been mated and any breeder logo you may wish to be included. I will send you back a file that you can use in any online marketing or that you can print off for your own leaflet campaign.

Images of your Dogs should ideally show the whole dog in a position you would be happy to be displayed on one of the above. Images should be of sufficient quality (i.e. not blurry when zoomed in) and show any colours or patterns you wish to advertise.

The brief was fairly open. Can we have some posters to advertise some upcoming puppies please?

Well what could i say?……. Of course I can.

Both clients supplied pictures of the prized pooches and then gave me carte blanche with regards to ideas for the images in question.

The first client Bloodwise Bulldogs (check them out!) have an expected litter of English Bulldogs coming soon. What better way to advertise and celebrate such an occasion than through the good old red white and blue of the Union Jack.

My second customer, Sunderbullz has been a frequent client. They have an expected litter of Miniature Dachshunds coming soon. Having purchased dogs myself from them in the past i really wanted to give them something worthy of the quality of the dogs that they produce.

Through conversation we agreed to try a Lady and the tramp theme. Personally I am rather pleased with the result.

Using some of my new found free time I threw myself into learning a bit more about Adobe Photoshop and seeing what i could produce. Throw in a 40th birthday and a bit of leftover money and I then treat myself to a new graphic’s monitor, well second hand. I’m not made of money!

Now I am the first to admit that I have a long way to go to hone my artistic prowess but i won’t let that stop me from trying.

I have now added some of my better works to my store so you can purchase them to either print yourself as posters or use them as digital wallpapers on you your electronic devices.

Like most people however I found new ways to amuse myself in my downtime, and i threw myself into improving my photoshop work.

It is also the final resting place of the Victorian heroine Grace Darling, and was said to be the location where St Aidan died in AD 652.

It also has some of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the region.

It is a very popular tourist location and with views like these you can see why.

I was determined to make it Bambrugh Castle for sunrise. It is a such a beautiful place.

It would be hard to argue that it is most likely one of the most picturesque locations in the north east. So after a 1 minute exposure time and very wet feet I give you my take on Bambrugh Castle at sunrise.

To me this is possibly my favourite photograph that i have ever taken. not least for the effort it took to get their in time, but also for the composition of the image. if you like it as much as me, can find this picture in my shop.

Before I begin I would say it is a fantastic resource for budding photographers.

Recently I have been posting some of my images on the members forums to receive some critiques from fellow photographers. When i started out with my night time photography I submitted one of my images to a “best of the week” threads. The idea being you show what you feel to be your strongest image just for sharings sake.

Around a week after I posted my image I received a private message from Rachael, One of the Kelby One staff member asking me if they could showcase my image and feature me as their member of the week.

A crossing was first proposed in 2005 but financial uncertainties caused the scheme to be delayed significantly until funding was finally approved by Her Majesties Treasury.

The finished bridge was not the original design. A more ambitious design was dropped after several contractors withdrew from the scheme.

The scheme was part of the Sunderland Arc regeneration plan and was dubbed SSTC2. SSTC2 was constructed by the contractor Jacobs. A further phase labelled SSTC3 is to follow which will construct a new link road which will connect the new bridge to the St Mary’s roundabout. This has been designed by the engineering arm of CAPITA. At the time of writing SSTC3 is currently in a tender process to determine who will be constructing the works.

The scheme as a whole is designed to provide improved access to the Sunderland port

Not only do I have the pleasure of taking pictures of the Northern Spire, I have also been a part of the design team that is working on SSTC3.

When the pylon for the bridge was erected on the 10-11 February 2017 it officially became the tallest structure in Sunderland. It stands at an impressive 105m (344 ft).

At night the central pylon is lit by a series of programmable lights so that on special occasions the bridge can be lit in various colours.

So far the it has been lit red for Rememberance Sunday, Purple in memory of still born children and orange as part of an international campaign against domestic violence.

In my opinion the northern spire is a very beautiful structure that stands tall and proud within the Sunderland skyline.

These days whilst they still have major economic importance they can do a lot to raise the profile of an area. From a simple little footbridge over a stream to a mega structure bridging canyons.

There is no denying whilst performing the function they were designed for they can be very beautiful to look at.
